Paths Tab

Path favorites Here you can establish a list of frequently used image folders. Entries can be created, sorted and deleted. This list is shown in a selection list in the thumbnail view and in the Save dialog before the recently used folders.

Start folder for thumbnail view Sets the path for the directory to be used as the thumbnail view when the program starts. If this entry is not set, the last used folder is displayed.

Directory for preview images Sets the directory for the preview image database.

Directory for eMail attachments Sets the directory for temporary storage of images to be sent by eMail.

External image viewer Sets the path to another program which can be used for viewing images.

External image editor Sets the path to another program which can be used for editing images.

Plugin directory Sets the path to Adobe Photoshop® compatible plugins.

Print service directory If this setting contains a valid path, then every image in the Cut dialog for which the aspect ratio and an photo format has been selected is automatically stored in a subfolder named after the format when the dialog is closed with [Ctrl] + right mouse click. The print service directory is automatically created if necessary.

File Groups Here you can enter groups of files which have something in common. This can be helpful, for instance with Camera RAW files for which associated images with further information exist (e.g. *.crw and *.thm). When file operations such as Copy to ... or Move to ... are performed on a selection of such RAW files, then the corresponding auxiliary files are also taken into account.

Associations Assigns selected image formats to PhotoPerfect, so that these are opened from the Windows Explorer by PhotoPerfect by default.
