Color Temperature

The single slider is used to influence the color temperature of the image. This is especially useful for manual white balancing where no white or gray area is available as reference. To control the temperature even more exactly, you can check the R/B Gamma box. This causes the intermediate tones to be more strongly influenced, whilst shadows and highlights remain largely unaffected.

Areas of use

• For correctly exposed images, i.e. practically all images with incorrect white balance.
• For overexposed images in which pure white also has a color cast.
• Also where a certain kind of colored light (e.g. a street lamp)  influences an image or for photographs taken through colored panes, underwater photographs etc.
• For grainy, coarse and/or noisy images.
