Automatic Contrast

Increases the contrast range of the image to the highest value possible without loss of nuances. You can use the black and white sliders to make fine adjustments. When you double-click on the preview image either the black or the white slider will be set to the value at this point, depending on the brightness. In the Histogram dialog in the Image/Tone value menu the automatic contrast is called Y-Max.
